Alaska’s Katie Bausler Interviews Beth about her debut book, Deep Waters

“. . . All of our dreams and plans suddenly were no longer in sight. . . . Many people along the way played pivotal roles in helping us move forward.”

While in Alaska for my book tour, I was interview by the talented host of the “Active Voice,” Katie Bausler—journalist, podcaster, writer, and mountain skiing enthusiast.

KTOO’s recording studio in downtown Juneau where Katie Bausler interviews authors for her podcast.

This was my 6th interview for Deep Waters: A Memoir of Loss, Alaska Adventure, and Love Rekindled. I’m fascinated by the skill and unique suite of questions each interviewer prepares. Katie’s questions reflected her solid grasp of the book’s story and themes, including relationship resilience.

One of Katie’s questions was how I’d captured dialogue and so much detail in Deep Waters.

Since its release, Deep Waters has won 2 awards:

Independent Publishers Book Awards, IPPY Bronze Award for West-Pacific: Best Regional Non-Fiction

Next Generation Indie Book Awards, Winner for Memoirs: Personal Struggle/Health Issues

In the last month and a half, I’ve had the extreme pleasure of seeing many of you during my 5-state book tour. After being away from home so long, I’m looking forward to sharing stories and photos from those visits.

Deep Waters is available at local bookstores and online.

Best wishes always!

Beth
